How Can We Help?
Answers to the questions we hear most, about booking, pricing, coverage and what to expect from an appointment.
General
The basics about who we are and what we do.
Who is Brilliant Roofing Group?
We’re the roofing division of the Brilliant Group — the same team behind Brilliant Plumbing’s London operation — covering all 33 London boroughs, offering everything from emergency callouts to full roof replacements, with fixed pricing and no call-out charge.
What services do you offer?
We cover emergency roof repair, new roof installation, flat and pitched roofing, commercial roofing, roof leak repair, storm damage repair, guttering, fascias & soffits, chimney repair, leadwork & flashing, roof cleaning, skylight installation, roof inspection & survey, conservatory roof conversion, and emergency tarping. Full details are on our services page.
Are your roofers employed directly, or subcontracted?
Our crews are trained to our own internal standards before working unsupervised, and every roofer is fully insured, whether directly employed or a long-term approved partner.
Do you work on both residential and commercial properties?
Yes. We carry out work on homes, flats, and commercial premises across London, including landlord and letting agent instructions.

Booking & Availability
How to get a crew booked in, and what to expect.
How do I book an appointment?
Call our booking line on 07405 088196, or fill in the online request form on any service page. We aim to call you back within 15 minutes to confirm a time, day or night.
Is your line genuinely open 24 hours a day?
Yes. A real person answers our line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year — not a machine or an answering service.
Can I get an evening or weekend appointment?
Yes, for most services. Evening and weekend appointments are available at no extra cost on services marked as 24/7 or emergency.
How much notice do you need for a non-emergency job?
This varies by service — simple repairs can often be booked for the next day, while bigger jobs like a full roof replacement usually start with a free survey to confirm timing and scope.
Can I reschedule or cancel my appointment?
Yes, free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice. Shorter notice, or our crew being unable to gain access, may incur a reasonable charge — see our Terms & Conditions for details.

Pricing & Payment
How our pricing works, and what you’ll actually pay.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
No. We never charge a call-out fee, day or night, anywhere in London. You only pay for the work carried out.
Do you charge more for nights, weekends, or bank holidays?
No. Our pricing is the same whatever time you call — there’s no unsociable-hours surcharge on our standard pricing.
How is the final price decided?
Most jobs start with a free survey. Your roofer confirms a fixed price before starting any work. If the scope changes once work is underway (for example, a hidden fault is found), we explain the revised cost and get your approval first.
Does the price change depending on which borough I'm in?
No. We operate a single, transparent approach to pricing across all of London — the same standard whether you’re in Zone 1 or Zone 6, with no travel surcharge.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept card payment and bank transfer, with payment due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in advance.

Roofing Materials & Work
Common questions about materials and what a job involves.
What roofing materials do you work with?
We work with slate, clay tile and concrete tile on pitched roofs, and EPDM, GRP, felt, single ply, liquid and hot melt systems on flat roofs, along with lead flashing and detailing. A free survey confirms the right option for your property.
Flat roof or pitched roof — which is right for my extension?
It depends on the design of your extension, planning constraints, and budget. There’s no single right answer — a free survey looks at your specific project and advises on the best fit.
How long does a full roof replacement take?
This varies by size and complexity and is confirmed at survey. A straightforward pitched re-roof is often completed within a few days; larger or more complex jobs can take longer.
Do I need scaffolding for a roof repair?
It depends on the job. Minor repairs sometimes don’t need it, while larger jobs like a full replacement or chimney work usually do. Any scaffolding cost is confirmed and included in the fixed price during your survey.

Emergencies
What counts as an emergency, and how fast we respond.
How quickly can a roofer get to me?
For genuine roofing emergencies, our target is a same-day response across all boroughs we cover, with an initial call back within 15 minutes. Exact timing can vary slightly by location and the scale of the incident.
What counts as a roofing emergency?
Storm damage, an exposed roof, an active leak, missing or slipped tiles risking further damage, and a structurally unstable chimney are all treated as emergencies. If in doubt, call us and we’ll advise.
Is every service on your site available as an emergency callout?
No — services like new roof installation, conservatory roof conversion, and roof inspection are planned projects rather than emergencies, though our booking line for these is still open 24/7. Genuinely urgent issues like storm damage, exposed roofs, and active leaks are handled as true emergency callouts.
