These Terms & Conditions govern the provision of roofing and related building services by Brilliant Roofing Group (“we”, “us”, “our”) to any person or business (“you”, “the customer”) who books or receives our services. By booking a service by phone, online, or in person, you agree to be bound by these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you book will apply to that booking.
We provide roofing and related domestic and commercial services across Greater London, including but not limited to emergency roof repair, new roof installation, flat and pitched roofing, guttering, fascias & soffits, chimney repair, leadwork & flashing, roof inspection, and related works as advertised on our website.
Availability of specific services may vary by borough and postcode. We reserve the right to decline a job where it falls outside our scope of qualification, is unsafe to carry out, or requires specialist subcontracted trades.
Bookings can be made by phone, online enquiry form, or through our booking line. For non-emergency work, we will confirm an appointment window; for emergency callouts, we aim to dispatch the nearest available crew as soon as possible, with an estimated time of arrival provided by SMS or phone.
- You must provide accurate contact details and a clear description of the issue.
- Someone aged 18 or over must be present, or have granted access, at the time of the appointment.
- We require a safe working environment and clear access to the roof or work area.
- We may need to reschedule in cases of severe weather, traffic incidents, or crew illness — we will notify you as early as possible.
Where a fixed price is quoted for a specific job (as shown on our pricing pages), that price will be confirmed by your roofer on arrival or after a free survey, based on an assessment of the work required, before any work begins. No call-out charge applies. We do not add surcharges for evenings, weekends, or bank holidays on services advertised as such.
Where the scope of work extends beyond the original assessment (for example, hidden timber decay, or additional materials required), we will explain the revised cost and obtain your approval before proceeding.
Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept card payment, bank transfer, and other methods as displayed at the time of booking. VAT Registration: pending.
You may cancel or reschedule a non-emergency appointment free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less notice, or where our crew attends and is unable to gain access to the property, may incur a reasonable charge to cover the wasted appointment.
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone an appointment in circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather unsafe for roof access, and will notify you as soon as practicable.
All work carried out is covered by our 12-month workmanship guarantee from the date of completion, covering defects arising from the quality of our labour. This guarantee does not cover:
- Faults arising from materials not supplied by us
- Damage caused by misuse, third-party interference, or lack of routine maintenance
- Pre-existing faults or wear identified but not instructed to be repaired at the time of the original visit
- Temporary works such as emergency tarping, which are explicitly not guaranteed as a permanent fix
To make a guarantee claim, contact us using the details below with your job reference and a description of the issue.
We carry public liability insurance and take all reasonable care in carrying out our work. Our liability for any loss or damage arising from our services is limited to the value of the work carried out, except in cases of death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud, for which our liability is not limited.
We are not liable for pre-existing faults, latent defects in a property’s existing roof structure that were not reasonably identifiable at the time of our work, or for consequential losses (such as loss of income) arising from a delay or fault, except where required by law.
Where we supply materials as part of a job, these are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty in addition to our workmanship guarantee. Where you request the use of customer-supplied materials, our workmanship guarantee applies to installation only, and we accept no responsibility for the quality or suitability of materials not supplied by us.
Our stated response targets (typically a same-day response, with an initial call back within 15 minutes) are targets and are not guaranteed, as they depend on crew availability, traffic, weather conditions, and the specific location of the job. In a genuine emergency involving risk to life or immediate danger, always contact the emergency services in addition to contacting us.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us as soon as possible using the details below. We aim to acknowledge complaints promptly and resolve them fairly. If a complaint cannot be resolved directly, you may be entitled to refer the matter to an independent alternative dispute resolution provider or, where applicable, Trading Standards.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
